Music Marketing

Intro
I have founded the alternative rock band Distant Blue in 2017 and was managing the band all the way up to 2024. What started as a hobby eventually evolved into a business, which came with many responsibilities I took on. I led successful creative campaigns across different mediums and social media channels, PR, logistics, finance, event planning and management, content creation, networking and collaboration with promoters. I was lead creative director, graphic designer, stylist, videographer and editor. Like a marketing manager Swiss army knife.
For music releases I planned a 30 day release plan which built buzz around the band and the music leading to gaining over 1000 listeners in 3 days, selling out merchandise and sold out shows at Nottingham venues such as Rough Trade and The Bodega. I got Distant Blue on BBC Introducing, Reviews from multiple blogs and magazines such as Left Lion and Square One for their release 'Dead'.
I created and led online strategies to bring awareness to the band and grow conversions. By managing social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and creating trending content to promote any upcoming shows and new music, we a rise in followers by 400% from viral videos and live streaming on TikTok.
In 2019, I planned and promoted the first Distant Blue tour only 2 years into the career. Ever since then, Distant Blue has played festivals such as MacMillan, Dot To Dot, Hockley Hustle
